Boundaries Aren’t a Personality Flaw

Most people aren’t bad at boundaries. They’re just tired.
Over-giving, over-explaining, and saying yes when you mean no often come from trying to keep the peace or avoid discomfort.
When you’re run down, it’s harder to know where you end and others begin.
Boundaries aren’t about being harsh or closed off. They’re about keeping your energy clean enough to function.
If resentment keeps creeping in, it’s usually a sign you’ve gone past your capacity — not that you’re unkind or difficult.

You don’t need to justify rest. You don’t need permission to pause. And you don’t need to earn space.
✨ Practice: Say one simple, clear “no” this week without explaining yourself. Notice how much lighter that feels.
That’s not selfishness. That’s self-respect.
