Anchor In, Don’t Freeze Up

Grounding practices to help you stay calm and connected when the rug gets pulled.

When change hits, our nervous system goes into overdrive. Suddenly, you’re either spinning in panic or stuck in freeze mode. Neither of those help you move through it with grace.

The key? Anchor in.

Not to control the storm—but to steady your footing within it.

How to Anchor Into Your Energy:

  • Breathe with intention. Deep belly breaths remind your body you’re safe.

  • Name what’s real. Ground into the facts, not just the fears. “What’s actually true right now?”

  • Return to routine. A morning ritual, a cup of tea, a walk in nature—familiar rhythms help you find stability.

  • Connect with your senses. Touch something soft. Smell something grounding. Let your body lead you back to now.

Change will always shake things up. But you don’t have to spin out.

You can root down.

The world may shift around you—but your centre stays strong.

Come back to it.

Come back to you.
