Change is a Visitor, Not a Villain

How to stop resisting change and start seeing it as a sacred (if inconvenient) invitation.

Change doesn’t always knock politely. Sometimes it kicks the door open, flips your plans upside down, and leaves you staring at the ceiling asking, “What just happened?”

It’s tempting to see change as the villain—the disruptor of your comfort zone. But what if it’s actually the visitor your soul called in when it was ready to grow?

Change, no matter how messy or unexpected, is rarely random. It’s often the answer to a whispered prayer, a deep knowing, or a truth you’ve been avoiding.

Try This Reframe:

  • Instead of: “Why is this happening to me?”

  • Ask: “What is this making space for?”

Because that’s what change does. It clears. It shifts. It reveals.

So next time change comes calling, take a breath and remember: this isn’t your downfall. It’s your becoming.

You’re not being punished. You’re being redirected.

Welcome the visitor. See what it’s here to teach you.
